Research Park Overview

The Science and Technology Campus Corporation (Scitech) is a not-for-profit, university-associated research park, which provides emerging technology companies with a place to plant and nurture seeds of brilliance in Central Ohio. Featuring multiple office and research environments, the science park provides a rich environment for high-technology companies of all sizes and in various stages of development to grow. Scitech offers flexible, interactive office and laboratory space in close proximity to The Ohio State University and several high tech corporations such as Ross Labs, Battelle Memorial Institute and Chemical Abstracts.

Space on the Science and Technology Campus is being developed into four real estate offerings:

Business Incubator
Managed by the independent Business Technology Center (BTC), the business incubator offers 50,000 square feet of space for new high potential technology companies. The Business Technology Center accelerates the formation of investable, sustainable technology-based businesses by providing qualified entrepreneurs with the specialized infrastructure, guidance and networking contacts necessary to launch and realize their vision. The National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) recently named the Business Technology Center the 2003 Randall M. Whaley Incubator of the Year. The award, which honors incubator excellence, is the most prestigious an incubator can receive.

Cultivation Quarters
For companies that have grown beyond the incubator stage, Scitech offers attractive, economical space in refurbished Ohio State University buildings, which border the Building and Technology Center.

Science Village
Science Village is a modular, flexible concept for larger companies. Phase I features 40,000 square feet of office and laboratory space. Additional phases will increase the buildout to more than 150,000 square feet.

Future Development
In the future, Scitech will develop another 27 acres of land that will accommodate at least 600,000 square feet of building space, providing more companies with the opportunity to become part of the spectacular Science Village environment
